Anne McDougall announces her retirement from Tachodisc
After more than 35 years working in the road transport industry, Tachodisc Director, Anne McDougall has announced she will be retiring at the end of the year.
Anne who started her transport career at Ferrymasters, a subsidiary of P&O, is renowned throughout the industry for her detailed understanding and knowledge of the legislation that surrounds tachographs. This experience stems from the Ferrymasters’ days where she saw through the introduction of the analogue tachograph and the first trench of Drivers’ Hours Regulations, and then setting up her own tachograph analysis bureau which she ran until it merged with Tachodisc in 1987.
In 1989 Tachodisc made her a Director and in 2005 she took over the management of the company with her fellow Director Karen Crispe.
Karen Crispe said: “Anne expressed her desire to retire at the beginning of the year which has enabled Tachodisc to be fully prepared for her leaving in December. On behalf of everyone, I would like to thank Anne for all the contributions she has made to Tachodisc over the last two decades; she is a consummate professional, trusted business colleague and a good friend. We will all miss her very much and we hope she has a very long and happy retirement.”
