RHA Awards Lunch to unveil industry champions
The RHA Awards for Excellence Lunch will be held on 12th October at the Grand Connaught Rooms, located in the in the heart of central London amidst the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden.
The Great Queen Street venue has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and will provide a fabulous backdrop for one of the key events in the transport industry calendar.
These awards have been devised as a means of recognising those who have shown loyalty and dedication to the UK road transport industry in general and to the Road Haulage Association in particular. Categories cover Industry Personality of the Year (National Chairman’s Award), Transport Manager of the Year, Subcontractor of the Year, Unsung Hero of the Year and RHA Employee of the Year.
Nominated entrants must be in the employment of a current RHA member or on the paid staff of the RHA in the case of Employee of the Year. In the case of the Subcontractor of the Year award the subcontracting company/owner-driver must be a current RHA member.
Both RHA members and staff have been able to nominate for all categories and, as event organiser Chris Seaton states, the intention is to fill some of the gaps left by other industry awards.
“This is an industry that relies not just an efficient infrastructure, its workforce is equally important,” says Chris. “We hope that the RHA Awards for Excellence will go some way to recognising the contribution made in areas which may, at times, be taken for granted or overlooked.
Transline Driver Recruitment, sponsors of the awards, specialises in the recruitment, training and management of HGV drivers for the UK transport and logistics industry and is proud to be a part of recognising those that have excelled in their sector.
Equipped with the most sophisticated driver supply service on the UK market, Transline has seen major growth in recent years through close customer relations, competitive pricing and first-class driver training.
“The RHA Awards lunch is the perfect occasion to show your customers the hard work that goes towards making today’s transport industry great. Don’t just tell them how good you are, why not be there and show them,” says Chris Seaton. “In addition to the Awards for Excellence, the Association is delighted to welcome as principal speaker, Mike Penning MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport.”
There are still places available at this prestigious event priced at £80 + VAT. In addition, there are a few tables left at £800 each + VAT. For a booking form, contact Chris Seaton on 01733 261131 or 07979 531464. Alternatively, send an email to awardslunch@rha.uk.net
